Container Terminal 1

Teesport Container Terminal 1 is a riverside facility located within the Tees Dock estate. The berths are equipped with two, wide-span gantry cranes, real time computer location and Autostore system and a modern security system, based on stored digital camera images.

Container Terminal 2

Completed during 2003, the new facility has a 360m quay with 10.9m draft at low tide. The terminal is equipped with two 44 tonne wide span Liebherr gantry cranes and can handle vessels up to 2,500 teu (twenty foot equivalent unit). The facility has an 80,000 teu capacity and an additional two phases will increase the annual container capacity to over 250,000 teus.

Terminal Services

Services from the container terminals now include port calls at Aarhus, Bremen, Felixstowe, Gdansk, Grangemouth, Gothemburg, Hamburg, Helsinki, Iraklion, Istanbul, Izmir, Kaliningrad, Klaipeda, Leixoes, Lisbon, Piraeus, Riga, Rotterdam, Salerno, St Petersburg, Volos and Zeebrugge.

Car Handling Facilities

Each year, thousands of new cars and vans are imported from the Continent via Teesport.
