Revision Order for the development of a £300m deep
sea container terminal at Teesport to the DfT in London
on Thursday, 27th April 2006,
This second part of the application process covers all the marine works for the Project. The Planning Application relating to the land works received Outline Planning permission from Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council in April 2007
The Harbour Revision Order and associated documentation may be viewed here. Following extensive negotiations with all statutory consultees and interested parties, PD Ports submitted a Supplementary Report to the Department for Transport in London on Wednesday, 7th March 2007. This documentation seeks to clarify some of the issues raised relating to the Environmental Statement. The Supplementary Report may be viewed here. On 21 February 2008, Shipping Minister, Jim Fitzpatrick, formally approved the HRO and TWA Order applications for the new deep sea container terminal at Teesport.
